The City of Presidents
Known as the “City of Presidents”, Quincy is the birthplace of President John Adams, his son John Quincy Adams, and also John Hancock. An easy commute to downtown Boston by car, public transportation or ferry boat, Quincy offers residents local restaurants as well as many outdoor activities.
Although Quincy is a primarily urban city, The Blue Hills Reservation covers approximately 23% of the land area, thus offering residents many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. In addition to the Reservation, visitors to Wollaston Beach can enjoy swimming, volleyball, jogging or a bike ride. Quincy also has three beautiful golf courses and is home to the Quincy Quarries Reservation which is a great place to hike and rock climb. This is a perfect town for the outdoor enthusiast who still wants the convenience of having the big city right nearby.
