David grew up in Hyde Park and also lived in South Boston. He attended Catholic Memorial High School and immediately after graduation went to work on the floor of the Boston Stock Exchange. After a 31 year career in finance he decided to pursue a new career in real estate. Davids passion has always been helping others so he and band front man Ken Casey co-founded the Dropkick Murphys Claddagh Fund to raise funds for nonprofits that support the needs of children, veterans and individuals suffering from alcohol and drug addiction. David’s charity work also includes cofounding the Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation which has distributed merit based scholarships to over 100 Massachusetts high school seniors. He also actively raises funds for programs of the Gavin Foundation in South Boston, Ace Bailey Children's Foundation at Tufts Medical Center, The Travis Roy Foundation in Boston as well as numerous other charitable organizations. David is also a partner at Breakaway Ice Center in Tewksbury MA and continues to coach and mentor both youth and high school hockey players.
